Fallen Timber was established in 2022 by licensed esthetician and electrologist, Margaret Hartman, as part of the Fallen Timber & Co. brand. Originally from Wisconsin, Margaret had convenient access to skin care needs, most importantly electrolysis permanent hair removal. After moving to Hemingford, Nebraska, she realized that electrolysis was not available in the area. This sparked her interest to further her education and become a licensed electrologist and esthetician in the state of Nebraska. Fallen Timber Skin Care Clinic was formed. Margaret soon began providing electrolysis and skin care services to area Nebraskans. Margaret’s passion for helping others look and feel their best has come to fruition.
Margaret and her husband Patrick decided on a location in historic downtown Hemingford, Nebraska for Margaret’s Skin Care Clinic. The building of choice happened to be the old co-op grocery store. Locals approached Patrick and Margaret during the rehab of the old building, sharing memories of when they were young and the way they stepped up to the counter to make their grocery orders. The Hartmans wanted to continue that memory, in some fashion. Fallen Timber added “& Co.,” that included a boutique with regional products from local vendors, as well as a fireplace showroom for Patrick Hartman’s fireplace business, Flannel Brothers. The Hartmans feel that in some way, Fallen Timber & Co. is paying homage to the past, while providing services to the Nebraska Panhandle and surrounding communities that are often found in larger cities.
Today, locals and visitors from surrounding rural communities frequent Fallen Timber & Co. for skin care services, boutique style shopping, and expert fireplace sales and service. Additionally, folks passing through Western Nebraska, are making Fallen Timber & Co. their regular stop for the area’s best boutique shopping.
